Hi there! I’m Mohamad, and it’s great to see you here. I have created this website, Boostrand, to help you, whether you’re just starting out in chemical engineering at university, have recently finished your studies, or are thinking about moving into process engineering. In this website, I am trying to focus on the work that chemical engineers do in big industries like oil, gas, and petrochemicals, especially in the process engineering design field during the design phase up to commissioning and start-up of the plant.

How did it start?

I’ve spent 14 years working with engineering companies on all sorts of projects in the oil and gas sector, and I’ve noticed something important: there hasn’t been a clear, step-by-step way to learn about process engineering. Until now, you pretty much had to learn on the job. I want to change that. There are lots of codes, standards, such as API, ASME, TEMA,..etc., in addition to other guides related to different engineering companies. However, there has been no curation for different subjects that can ease the learning process of a process engineering newbie.

In 2018, I started getting into computer programming. I took some courses, learned how to create time-saving tools with Excel, and even made a course about mobile app development. I’ve written about all this coding stuff in articles you can find here on the website. While the mobile app course was a cool idea, it turned out to be a lot of work to keep it updated. But I learned a lot from that.

All the things I picked up from learning to code made me think: why not make it simpler for new engineers to learn about the usual process engineering tasks and how projects flow? This way, they can get to grips with the things that really matter in their work.

What You’ll Find Here

So, that’s what I’ve been working on – putting together content that talks about the everyday stuff in process engineering. You’ll find articles, videos on my YouTube channel, and updates on social media. Plus, there’s a bunch of courses focused just on this. And I’m not stopping here – I’ve got plans to add even more courses to give you a complete learning experience.

Stay in Touch

Thanks for stopping by. If you want to learn more about process engineering, you’re in the right place. Feel free to look around, check out the courses, and if you have any questions, feel free to contact me. Now, it’s time to start building process engineering skills together!

Cheers,

Mohamad
